Mary Farl Powers

Mary Farl Powers (1948-1992) moved to Ireland in 1951 from the US. She studied at Dun Laoghaire School of Art and the National College of Art and Design, joining Graphic Studio Dublin (GSD) in 1973. Her mastery of diverse printmaking techniques allowed her to develop an extensive body of print work which also included cast paper and paper sculpture. She became the leader of GSD in 1979 and was instrumental in setting up the Graphic Studio Gallery in 1998 in Temple Bar.
