Maeve McCarthy

Born in Dublin, Maeve McCarthy is a graduate of NCAD. She works within the traditional genres of landscape, still life and portraiture; often depicting domestic spaces and urban and rural landscape. Her paintings have been shown regularly at the RHA where she has recently been elected a member. Her portrait of Maeve Binchy is in the National Portrait Gallery at the National Gallery of Ireland and she has shown at the BP Portrait Award, National Portrait Gallery, London. Her second solo show with the Molesworth Gallery, Dublin is in September 2008.
