Dora McCavera

Dora McCavera joined the Belfast Print workshop in 1978 while studying Education at St. Mary's College, Belfast. Encouraged by her tutor, T.P. Flanagan she visited the recently opened print workshop at Riddell Hall and enrolled as a member. Initially focused on aquatint and etching techniques under the instruction of James Allen and Sophie Aghajanian, in time, her interests expanded to include screen printing, lithography and mezzotint. Her prints include a wide variety of techniques and draw their influence from the beauty and rawness of nature.
