Spencer Murphy

Born in rural Kent, Murphy has been taking photographs since the age of eleven. He is based in London, where he divides his time between personal projects and commissions. His works has featured in many prominent publications, from Time Magazine and Vogue Italia to GQ and Rolling Stone. He has exhibited extensively in Europe and North America, and won the Taylor Wessing Prize at the National Portrait Gallery, for which he was shortlisted seven times, in 2013. He has won many other awards since 2002. His work features in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery, London, and the Nelson Atkins Museum, Kansas.
