Guggi
Born in Dublin, Guggi is a self-taught artist. In his youth he was a founder member of the avant-garde band Virgin Prunes from whom he parted company in 1986 to paint full time. His solo exhibitions include the Kerlin Gallery and the Solomon Gallery in Dublin, the Osborne Samuel Gallery in London and the Tony Shafrazi Gallery in New York. He has had a number of two person shows with his wife Sibylle Ungers at the Kerlin Gallery, Dublin; the Ric Urmel Gallery, Gent; and the Ursula Schurr Gallery, Stuttgart. He has exhibited in many group shows both in Ireland and abroad and has been represented at art fairs in London, Madrid and Basel. His paintings and sculptures are to be found in collections around the world. He lives and works in Dublin.
