DescriptionThe subtle washes and 'dot and dash' outlines of this drawing are close in style to Turner's early 'Monro School' drawings. Unlike the Vaughan Bequest watercolours, it is quite faded. The left edge, which had been protected by a mount for many years, shows traces of a blue wash which has disappeared from the rest of the sheet.
