Label TextA leading exponent of topographical landscape painting, Fisher depicted subjects from Kerry to Newry. This scene was painted from the parkland of Kenmare House, overlooking the lower lake in Killarney, an area to which Fisher returned on a number of occasions. This picture is rather desolate in character, and ambiguous in scale because of the prominence of the slender tree. The town of Killarney is just visible in the background.
