DescriptionThis print is part of his Pressé series which he began working on in the 1960s, inspired by the lemon press for making the French drink, 'citron pressé'. In 1974 he reconfigured the motifs to create a painting that drew attention to the horrors of the Troubles in Northen Ireland. This single red-stained drop at the lower edge of this print represents the blood spilled as a result of bombs and explosions.
