DescriptionThis plate was etched when Shaw was a household name, famous as a playwright and commentator. He won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1925. In the late 1920s he published 'The Intelligent Woman’s Guide to Socialism and Capitalism'; visited Russia reporting that he had "seen the future"; and had his play 'The Applecart' put on in Warsaw and at the Malvern Festival.
