DescriptionThis sheet comprises a lively drawing of women wearing hats on a beach in pen and ink and coloured crayon. This drawing conflates two rougher sketches by Conor in the Ulster Museum’s collection: one entitled ‘Group of Women at Portrush’ (1910) and the second inscribed ‘View of merry go round Bangor 8 Aug 09’. Although Conor’s working technique is not documented, as well as using sketches made ‘in the field’ it is likely that he also used photography as a reference tool.Inscriptionlower centre: BANGOR 1910
