DescriptionMarie Cassidy became a Consultant Forensic Pathologist in the Department of Medicine in Glasgow University (of which she is a graduate) in 1985. Having served as Deputy State Pathologist, she succeeded Prof. John Harbison as State Pathologist in 2004, and has been involved in the investigation of several hundred suspicious deaths in Ireland. She is Professor of Forensic Medicine in the Royal College of Surgeons and Trinity College, and lectures widely. She has been involved with the UN in the excavation of mass graves in former Yugoslavia and Sierra Leone.

A graduate of the Crawford College of Art, Jack Hickey won the Hennessy Portrait Prize in 2017.
