DescriptionComposition inspired by a view from above of the St Austell Clay Works in Cornwall. The ‘cone’ visible on left is a ‘dram’, a cart pulled up on a rail. This is a working proof, one of a series inspired by the clayworks. This print (part of a small collection of works on paper) complements the large body of material gifted by the Wallace family in 2016. Together, the two collections give a good picture of the art and life of George Wallace.
