DescriptionHenry Shefflin stands, hurley over his shoulder, on the pitch of his home club, Ballyhale Shamrocks. Shefflin is the most decorated player in the history of hurling. Over a sixteen-year career playing centre forward for Kilkenny, he won a record ten All-Ireland medals, thirteen Leinster Championship medals and six National Hurling League titles. A winner of eleven All-Star awards, and three Hurler of the Year awards, he is also the top championship points scorer of all time with 27 goals and 484 points. He also won three All-Ireland Club titles with Ballyhale Shamrocks.
