DescriptionThis print forms part of Michael Farrell's acerbic visual commentary on political events occurring in Northern Ireland. He saw the 1974 Dublin and Monaghan bombings as marking a pivotal shift from objectivity to subjectivity in his work. A related collage, 'Remember Gulliver', is also part of the NGI collection. These works represent Farrell's direct response to the 1974 terrorist attack. Throughout the 1970s and into the 1980s Farrell's work in all media addressed the bloody, intractable nature of contemporary Ireland.
