DescriptionNone of Malton's Dublin views were issued coloured during his lifetime. However, in the early 19th century it became popular to hand-colour his prints. The watermarks on early coloured prints range from 1809 to 1824. This is a very delicately hand-painted version which probably dates to this period. It is likely that the watercolour outline is contemporary with the hand-colouring.
