DescriptionIn this print we see that Tom Nero’s cruelty has led him to murder. A bald Tom stands over the lifeless body of his mistress Ann Gill. The pistols and watches strewn around suggest that he has become a highwayman. The church clock reads 1am as a group of horrifiedfarmers apprehend the murderer.
