Inscriptioncentre: Monday/I wonder if you are down south again/I thought I was getting off today- but/[tried] I can't get till tomorrow/_____ left yesterday = perhaps you've/seen him. He's a puzzle - but he's/got some fine characteristics/much finer than hers!/However her portrait is done and finished/and he writes me "What more can I say/than that you have painted the most/beautiful woman in the world and have/done her justice". Poor old Rubis!/Its this sort of pose and is now on/exhibition at/Knoedlers.
