Label TextThe slight accentuation and tilting of Yeats’s head reinforces the common perception of the artist as a contemplative, cerebral figure. Campbell trained in Dublin, Stockholm and Paris and travelled extensively. Among his public commissions were the Sean Heuston Memorial in the Phoenix Park and sculptures of Kevin O'Higgins, Arthur Griffith, and Michael Collins for the cenotaph on Leinster Lawn.
