DescriptionRobert Healy trained at the Dublin Society’s Drawing Schools and established himself as an artist near Dame Street. He produced portraits and drawings of horses in grisaille (black and white chalks) and his portraits were renowned for their exquisite softness. According to the English satirist Anthony Pasquin they were comparable in effect to ‘the most capital mezzotinto engravings.’ProvenancePresented, Revd M.
