DescriptionThis spontaneous drawing which dates to the latter part of his career shows Andre Dunoyer de Segonzac’s love for the barrenness of the landscape of the south of France in winter. His distinctive mark-making style is notable in the ploughed field in the foreground. Dunoyer de Segonzac often sketched the Charente area of Southern France. There is another version of this view dated 1959 also called, ‘Le Chemin du Golfe’ that was sold by M. Knoedler & Co, New York.
