DescriptionThis work is an excellent example of Solomon's etchings of urban Dublin which shows the influence of Whistler's etchings of riverside London. McDaid's Pub was located on D'Olier Street and was a popular haunt of actors from the Theatre Royal in nearby Hawkins Street. The building was demolished in 1962.
