DescriptionThis print is based on studies of neural circuits in the brain. The MRI diffusion image is from an MRI scan of axons in a brain damaged by stroke. O’Connell became interested in this topic while collaborating with the Molecular Medicine Department in St James’s Hospital on a project called 'Apertures & Anxieties'. She used a confocal microscope that can digitally scan on a molecular scale to create printed images.Exhibition HistoryNew Perspectives.
