DescriptionSickert's plate was made after an oil paining of 1906. This print is a proof taken from the cancelled plate. It is a restrike printed by Ross-Mcdonald at the Slade around 1957.
This print (part of a small collection of works on paper, NGI.2018.37 -51) compements the large body of material gifted by the Wallace family in 2016. Together, the two collections give a good picture of the art and life of George Wallace.
