DescriptionAlthough a talented artist in his own right, Ian Strang has been overshadowed by his father, William, a gifted etcher who trained with Alphonse Legros. Ian Strang was interested in topography and architecture. He travelled extensively, recording in detail some of the architectural wonders of Europe including the entrance hall of the British Museum, Mont-Saint-Michel, and the walls of Segovia, an important medieval town in central Spain.Inscriptionlower left (in plate): Ian Strang 1913
