Exhibition HistoryPatrick Scott: Image, Space, Light, IMMA, Dublin, 2014
Label TextPatrick Scott is acknowledged as having made a very significant contribution to twentieth-century Irish design, architecture and painting. Self-taught, he was the first artist to embrace abstract minimalism in Ireland. This work coincides with his first solo show, held in the White Stag gallery in Dublin in 1944. It features an early version of the solar motif that would become familiar in the artist’s later work.
