DescriptionPrintmaking was vibrant in the early decades of the twentieth century in Sweden. From its foundation in 1887, the Swedish Fine Art Print Society (FfGK) issued an annual portfolio of original prints by both established and emerging artists to promote printmaking and to bring it to a wider public. This print formed part of the Society's 1931 portfolio. It is notable for its precision and for the variety of linear marks used to indicate the different textures of tree, snow and buildings.
