DescriptionIn 1827, Turner spent a number of weeks at Petworth house in East Sussex, the country home of George O'Brien Wyndham (1751-1837), third Earl of Egremont. Turner had been commissioned by Egremont to paint four landscape oils for the 'Carved Room'.
