DescriptionThe Florentine artist Naldini worked in a unique Mannerist style, influenced by his masters Pontormo and Vasari. Around 1566 he was commissioned to produce a fresco painting depicting the dead Christ and his mother for the Zaccaria chapel in the Church of San Simone in Florence.
