DescriptionThis simple portrait study of a colleague and friend form the Hibernian Bank, shows Galbally's skill at capturing a likeness. Drawn from life, he uses both line and shading to model the face accurately and without extraneous detail. The Gallery holds a portrait of Victor Waddington by Galbally (NGI.4567). This drawing complements the painted portrait adding to our knowledge of this competent twentieth century artist's working methods and use of media.
