DescriptionThis print was published as part of Thomas Birch’s book, 'The Heads of Illustrious Persons of Great Britain'. Each ‘head’ was depicted as a bust in an oval frame with symbols alluding to their accomplishments. The inscription and the anchor and rope make reference to Warwick’s appointment as Lord High Admiral in 1642.
