DescriptionIn 1965 John Kelly joined Graphic Studio Dublin, becoming Director in 1972. From 1977 until his retirement in 1997 he taught print at the National College of Art. In the 1990s he was elected a member of the Royal Hibernian Academy and Aosdána. ‘In Memory’ is a personal elegy, drawing on his seven years as Director of the Studio. It refers to the split which led to the foundation of Black Church Studio in 1980.
