DescriptionIn a series of monochrome photographs, Kilfeather presents different views set within the formal gardens of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin City. Originally laid out in a French seventeenth-century formal style, the garden includes ornamental plants, sculptures and furniture. Photographed in the early morning, the landscaped environment takes on an uncanny appearance. High box hedges and sculpted plants block out a sense of the outside world, lending a more ominous tone to a space designed for pleasure.
